01

Agreement to these terms

By accessing or using obedjohnson.com, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

If you do not agree with these terms, you should discontinue use of the website.

Separate agreements, statements of work, proposals or contracts may apply to paid professional services. Where a separate written agreement exists, its terms will take precedence in relation to that particular project.

02

Use of this website

The website is provided to showcase professional work, experience, capabilities, services and related information.

You agree not to:

  • Use the website for unlawful, fraudulent or abusive purposes.
  • Attempt to interfere with the security or operation of the website.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems or data.
  • Copy, republish or commercially exploit protected website content without permission.
  • Introduce malicious code, automated attacks or harmful software.
03

Professional services

Information about services displayed on this website is provided for general informational purposes and does not automatically create a contractual relationship.

A project becomes formally agreed only when the relevant scope, price, timeline and applicable commercial terms have been accepted by the parties.

Services may include software engineering, website development, product development, mobile applications, design, automation, artificial intelligence integrations, technical consulting and related digital services.

04

Quotes, proposals and project scope

Any quote, estimate or proposal may be based on the information available at the time it is prepared.

Changes to project requirements, functionality, integrations, timelines or deliverables may require changes to the estimated cost or delivery schedule.

Material changes outside an agreed project scope may be treated as additional work and priced separately.

05

Payments

Payment terms for professional services will normally be specified in the relevant proposal, invoice, contract or statement of work.

Depending on the project, this may include an upfront deposit, milestone payments, recurring fees or payment on completion.

Work may be paused if an agreed payment becomes overdue, subject to the terms of the applicable project agreement.

06

Client responsibilities

Where professional services are provided, clients may be responsible for providing information, content, approvals, access credentials, feedback and other materials reasonably required to complete the project.

Clients are responsible for ensuring that materials they provide can legally be used for the intended project, including text, images, trademarks, software, data and other intellectual property.

Delays in receiving required information or approvals may affect agreed delivery schedules.

07

Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the content and original materials displayed on this website are owned by or licensed to Obed Johnson and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

This may include website design, written content, illustrations, code examples, graphics, branding, case studies and other original materials.

Intellectual property ownership for client projects will be determined by the applicable project agreement.

Third-party technologies, frameworks, fonts, libraries, stock assets and open-source software remain subject to their respective licences.

08

Portfolio and case-study use

Unless confidentiality obligations or a separate agreement prevent it, completed work may be referenced in a professional portfolio, case study or description of past experience.

Confidential information, private source code, trade secrets or restricted client information will not intentionally be published without appropriate permission.

09

Third-party platforms and services

Digital projects may depend on third-party products or services such as hosting providers, APIs, payment services, analytics platforms, cloud infrastructure, content management systems or external software.

I am not responsible for outages, pricing changes, discontinued services, policy changes or failures caused solely by third-party providers outside my reasonable control.

10

Website availability

I aim to keep this website accessible and accurate, but I do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

The website may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, hosting issues, updates, technical problems or circumstances outside reasonable control.

11

Limitation of liability

Information published on this website is provided for general informational purposes and should not be treated as professional legal, financial or other regulated advice.

To the extent permitted by law, I will not be responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential loss resulting solely from the use of, or inability to use, this website.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

12

Project suspension or termination

Where professional services are provided, suspension, cancellation or termination rights will be governed by the relevant project agreement.

This may include provisions relating to unpaid invoices, completed work, committed project costs, intellectual property and handover of deliverables.

13

External links

This website may contain links to third-party websites, services or resources.

These links are provided for convenience or reference. I do not control and am not responsible for the content, security, availability or privacy practices of third-party websites.

14

Changes to these terms

These Terms & Conditions may be revised occasionally to reflect changes to the website, services, business practices or applicable requirements.

The latest version will be published on this page with an updated revision date.

15

Governing law

Unless a separate agreement states otherwise, these Terms & Conditions are governed by the applicable laws of England and Wales.

Any contractual jurisdiction applying to a particular professional engagement may instead be specified in the relevant agreement.
